The internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quantum software engineering, focusing on two frontier challenges: designing high-level programming abstractions (DSLs) and developing debugging tools for quantum runtimes. Interns will work with simulation frameworks such as PennyLane and Qiskit, explore state visualization and statistical validation methods, and contribute to prototype tools that make quantum programming more accessible, reliable, and productive. Participants will collaborate with leading researchers in applied AI and quantum computing, building skills at the intersection of programming languages, developer tools, and quantum technologies.

The Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IAAIR) is now accepting applications for its Fall 2025 Research Internship. Designed for motivated students and recent graduates worldwide, the internship provides hands-on experience in applied AI and qualitative research, offering opportunities to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges while working closely with leading researchers and industry experts. Interns will participate in projects that include qualitative studies exploring adoption, policy, and societal dimensions of AI as well as technical applications focused on model development, prototyping, and deployment, creating a unique platform to learn, contribute, and grow.
