IAAIR Research Internship Fall 2025

Quantum Computing

Applications are now open for the Fall 2025 Quantum Research Internship at the Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IAAIR).

This 12-week program (22 September – 12 December 2025) offers motivated students the opportunity to explore cutting-edge challenges in quantum programming and debugging tools for quantum runtimes. Interns will gain hands-on experience with leading frameworks such as Qiskit, PennyLane, and Cirq, contribute to prototype development, and work closely with researchers advancing the field of quantum software engineering.

Please read through the below project briefs before applying:

  1. Foundations for High Level Quantum Programming

  2. Exploring Debugging Aids for Quantum Computing

The internship is designed for students with a strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0) and a background in computer science, physics, or related disciplines. Applicants must have proficiency in Python, familiarity with scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib), and at least some exposure to quantum computing frameworks.

This is an unpaid internship offered for educational and professional experience. Participants must be available full-time for the entire 12-week period. IAAIR does not provide visa sponsorship, and applicants are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to work or intern in their location.

Please complete all sections of this application carefully. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
